An Unexpected Guest in Italy

by

Just a few days before An Unexpected Guest comes out in Italy from publisher Garzanti, under the lovely title “Quando eravamo foglie nel vento” (or “When We Were Leaves in the Wind”).

And, the advance word has been so warm and generous, Italian-style:

Or, as Google Translate tells me:

“Even before publication, When we were leaves in the wind was crowned by the press as the most promising debut of the year. And, just out, the audience loves it unconditionally. Through the voice of a memorable protagonist, Anne Korkeakivi gives us a story of love and guilt, redemption and forgiveness, because sometimes what you thought of having to hide is the greatest gift that life can give us.”
